The aim of the workshop is to help turn a new idea for a cancer clinical research study into a persuasive 1-page concept outline.

Concept outlines are an ideal starting point for writing study protocols, letters of intent to industry, or grant applications to funding bodies.

Participants were asked to come up with an idea for a cancer clinical research study. During the course of the workshop, the faculty helped in refining the idea and by the end of the workshop, the participants were able to write a persuasive 1-page concept outline.

The workshop program included short presentations, written exercises, and small group discussions.

Participation was limited to 21 seats to ensure a more interactive, focused, and productive workshop experience for all attendees.

Participants were divided into small groups of about 8 members and 2 faculty facilitators. Each participant presented their ideas briefly (in about 3 minutes) without slides. The group then provided constructive feedback and suggestions about the proposed study and concept outline.
