To encourage our patients and survivors to adopt exercise as a daily habit, the foundation has used various mediums.

Yoga: For a period of two years, yoga was conducted at the day-care for our patients as they were receiving their chemotherapy. Pranayama, simple stretches, and yoga poses were taught.

Dance is an emerging force in cancer care, influencing positive change in areas such as body appreciation, self-image, social connection, stress relief, and quality of life. Existing literature indicates that dance can alleviate symptoms of mental health conditions linked to cancer, such as depression and anxiety.

The weekly ‘DANCE FIT’ activity led by a trained dance expert has greatly benefited our survivors by increasing their range of motion, flexibility, stamina and general wellbeing.
